An Atlanta real estate investor has paid $6.1 million for the Terrace Hill Apartments off Murfreesboro Pike.

J. David Deshong bought the 105-unit complex at 1000 Thompson Place from W. Kirby Davis Jr., the chief operating officer for Freeman Webb Cos.

Separately, Deshong has a contract to buy the adjacent 125-unit Crestview Apartments at 1020 Thompson Place from local apartment owner and investor Woody McLaughlin.

Earlier this year, Deshong bought the Dominion House apartments off Harding Place in South Nashville. He also owns the Davenport rental condos in South Nashville and Davis Park apartments in Smyrna.

With the sale to Deshong, Elmington Property Management has replaced Freeman Webb in managing Terrace Hill Apartments.

Broker Brett C. Kingman of Multi Housing Advisors LLC represented seller Davis in the Terrace Hill transaction.  Kingman now works at CBRE in Nashville.
